SAMSUNG RAISES GALAXY S26 PRICES BY UP TO $200

THU 01 OCT 2026 SPACE

Samsung has increased US prices across most of its Galaxy S26 lineup by at least $100, with the 1TB Galaxy S26 Ultra rising by $200 to $1,999. The base Galaxy S26 with 256GB of storage now costs $999, up from $899, while the 512GB version has risen to $1,199. The Galaxy S26 Plus now starts at $1,199 for 256GB and $1,399 for 512GB. The Galaxy S26 Ultra starts at $1,399 for 256GB and $1,599 for 512GB, alongside the $1,999 price for the 1TB model. The Galaxy S26 FE, released roughly a month ago, is the only current-generation model that has not had its price increased since launch.

The increases come on top of price rises Samsung had already applied when the Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus launched in March, meaning the base Galaxy S26 now costs $200 more in total than the equivalent Galaxy S25 model did. Samsung attributed the earlier price rises partly to higher RAM costs, according to reporting at the time. Samsung's mobile division recorded its first-ever quarterly loss for April to June this year, which it attributed to higher costs for components including RAM and storage, even as its chip division helped drive the company to record quarterly revenue and operating profit overall. One report said Apple and Google have also raised prices on their phones this year.

Samsung had not provided comment on the latest price increases at the time of reporting. The rises apply to prices listed on Samsung's own website, and shoppers may still find lower prices through retailer sales, including forthcoming Black Friday and Amazon Prime discount events. Reports suggest Samsung could introduce further price increases on storage upgrades for its next-generation Galaxy S27 lineup, though this has not been confirmed by the company.
