JOHNNY FISHER BEATS MICHAEL PIROTTON ON POINTS IN LONDON

SUN 27 SEP 2026 BOXING

Johnny Fisher won a majority points decision over Michael Pirotton at London's Copper Box Arena, marking his first fight since leaving Matchroom Boxing to join Dana White's Zuffa Boxing promotion. Judges scored the ten-round heavyweight contest 95-95, 98-92 and 96-95 in Fisher's favour. The Essex fighter, nicknamed the "Romford Bull", secured his 15th win from 16 professional bouts, while the Belgian Pirotton suffered his third defeat in 15 fights. Pirotton fought much of the contest with a cut around his eye sustained early on, prompting ringside doctors to examine him before the fourth and seventh rounds, though the bout was allowed to continue each time. Fisher staggered Pirotton with a right hand in the tenth round but could not force a stoppage.

The Copper Box Arena, which holds 7,500 people, was not full for the event, with its upper tier closed and gaps visible around the venue. Supporters known as Fisher's "Bosh Army" provided vocal backing throughout. Fisher is known for sharing an unfiltered view of his family life and training camps alongside his father, referred to as "Big John", including their shared enthusiasm for Chinese takeaways. British boxers Derek Chisora, Conor Benn and Caroline Dubois attended the event, along with WWE performers AJ Styles and LA Knight. WWE and Zuffa Boxing are both owned by the American sports and entertainment company TKO.

Fisher's win extends his unbeaten start under new management following his move from Matchroom Boxing. Sky Sports broadcast highlights of the contest, describing it as part of the Zuffa Boxing 11 fight card. No details of a next opponent or fight date for either boxer have been confirmed.
