BBC SPORT TO CUT 41 JOBS IN £2.5M SAVINGS DRIVE
BBC Sport is to cut 41 jobs as part of a wider savings drive across the BBC. Staff were told of the redundancies at a meeting at the corporation's Salford headquarters, led by Mr Kay-Jelski. The job losses are reportedly intended to save the broadcaster £2.5 million.
One report described a "staff mutiny" at BBC Sport, with staff said to have characterised the department as "toxic".
