MOHAMMED SKAF CHARGED WITH NEARLY TWO DOZEN DRUG OFFENCES IN SYDNEY
Mohammed Skaf has been arrested in Sydney and charged with nearly two dozen alleged drug offences. New South Wales police announced the charges following an investigation into an alleged large-scale drug supply scheme. Two other individuals — a man and a woman — face related charges in connection with the same alleged operation. All three are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
Skaf is a convicted gang rapist whose crimes drew widespread public attention in Australia. New South Wales police confirmed the charges relate to alleged involvement in a significant drug supply network operating in Sydney. The two additional accused were identified as part of the same alleged scheme. Police did not release further operational details about the investigation at the time of the announcement.
The case adds a further set of serious criminal allegations against Skaf, who was previously convicted in connection with a series of gang rapes. The Thursday court appearance will mark the formal commencement of proceedings on the drug charges. New South Wales police have indicated the matter will proceed through the courts in the normal fashion. No further arrests have been confirmed as connected to the alleged supply scheme at this stage.
