INFLUENCER CLAVICULAR CHARGED WITH RAPE IN MASSACHUSETTS CASE
Online court records show the online influencer known as Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, has been charged with rape, drugging someone for sexual intercourse, and providing alcohol to a person under 21. The charges, filed on 8 September, relate to an alleged incident in Chatham, a seaside town on Cape Cod in Massachusetts, on 23 May 2025. Further details of the allegations have not been made public. The court records reviewed do not list a defence attorney for Peters. A representative for Clavicular, named as Mitchell Jackson, said reports of the charges were exaggerated and that Peters had not yet been served with an arrest warrant.
Clavicular is known online for promoting "looksmaxxing", a trend among young men that Merriam-Webster's dictionary has defined as the practice of taking sometimes extreme or dangerous measures to increase physical attractiveness. He takes his name from the clavicle, or collarbone, a feature said to be prized within that online community, and has more than a million followers across social media. In April, a teenage influencer in Florida filed a lawsuit accusing him of battery. His attorney in that case, Steve Kramer, said Peters denied the claims and would defend himself through legal channels. Online court records do not indicate whether the new charges are connected to the allegations made in that lawsuit.
Clavicular addressed the charges on social media, resharing the report that first revealed them and writing on X, "What is this s***?" No court date or plea has been reported, and it remains unclear when Peters will be formally served with the warrant. The case adds to the separate civil claim he already faces in Florida, though the two matters have not been confirmed as related. Massachusetts prosecutors have not issued further public comment on the case. Jackson did not immediately respond to a subsequent request for comment.
