TEXAS TECH BEATS HOUSTON 28-26 AFTER FAILED TWO-POINT BID

SAT 19 SEP 2026 RUGBY

Texas Tech defeated Houston 28-26 after stopping the Cougars' two-point conversion attempt just short of the goal line in the closing stages of the game. Houston had mounted a comeback bid before the attempt failed, securing the win for the Red Raiders. Will Hammond appeared to have taken over as Texas Tech's quarterback during the match, leading the team to victory after Thomas Castellanos threw an interception on his first play from scrimmage.
