NOAHKAI BANKS CHOOSES GERMANY OVER USA FOR INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL

Augsburg defender Noahkai Banks has decided to represent Germany rather than the United States, Germany under-21 coach Antonio Di Salvo said. Banks, who holds dual German-American nationality, has accepted a call-up to Germany's under-21 squad for European Championship qualifiers.

The move will trigger a one-time switch of international eligibility, ending the 19-year-old's ability to play for the United States men's national team.
