JETS GM DISCUSSES HELLEBUYCK TRADE SEARCH AFTER SUSPENSION

Winnipeg Jets general manager Kevin Cheveldayoff has spoken publicly for the first time on the Connor Hellebuyck trade situation, saying "I just want to get this right." Hellebuyck, a three-time Vezina Trophy winner, requested a trade from the Jets in April and has since been suspended after failing to report for training camp.

Cheveldayoff said he is continuing to explore trade options for the goaltender. His future with the Jets remains unresolved.
