BBC SETS OCTOBER 1 START DATE FOR CELEBRITY TRAITORS SERIES TWO

TUE 15 SEP 2026

The BBC has confirmed that the second series of The Celebrity Traitors will begin on Thursday 1 October at 8pm. Claudia Winkleman returns as host of the game show, which will air on Thursday and Friday evenings. A total of 21 celebrities will compete in the Scottish Highlands, including Bella Ramsey, Michael Sheen, Maya Jama and Richard E Grant. Contestants will take part in missions with the aim of winning up to £100,000 for charities of their choosing. Ed Gamble will return to present the companion podcast, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked.

The format sees celebrities compete against one another in a group setting in the Highlands, with the BBC describing the series as multi-award-winning. The broadcaster released a teaser trailer showing the contestants arriving at the castle used for filming, with Winkleman declaring "the game is on" in the clip. The BBC has not detailed the full list of missions or the structure of individual episodes beyond confirming the Thursday and Friday broadcast slots.

The series will follow the same charity fundraising format as previous editions, with the prize money going to causes chosen by each celebrity rather than to the contestants themselves. Ed Gamble's Uncloaked podcast will run alongside the television broadcasts to provide additional coverage of each episode. The BBC has not announced further details about the show's later episodes or its eventual conclusion. Viewers will be able to follow the series across its Thursday and Friday slots from the confirmed October start date.
