PETE ALONSO RETURNS TO CITI FIELD AS ORIOLES PLAYER

Pete Alonso returned to Citi Field for the first time since leaving the New York Mets, appearing as a member of the Baltimore Orioles. Mets fans gave him a standing ovation and a pregame chant during introductions, and a tribute video played before his first at-bat. Alonso batted second in the Orioles' lineup.

One report said the Mets have yet to replace what they lost when Alonso departed the club.
