WEST BROM DRAW WITH QPR AS BIRMINGHAM BEAT DERBY

West Brom drew 1-1 with Queens Park Rangers at The Hawthorns in the Championship, failing to regain top position after West Ham's 6-0 victory over Wrexham on Friday. Chris Mepham's own goal gave QPR the lead in the 38th minute, but Callum Styles equalised three minutes later with a low shot from outside the area. West Brom extended their unbeaten home record to 11 games despite having slightly more chances throughout the match.

Bolton Wanderers ended a run of four consecutive Championship defeats by defeating Cardiff City 1-0, with Thierry Gale heading a 90th-minute winner at the far post from a left-wing cross by Theo Bair. Goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu made several saves to deny Cardiff an equaliser. Birmingham City won 2-1 away at Derby County at Pride Park, with Paik Seung-ho scoring his first goal since December as the decisive strike.

Bobby Clark had put Derby ahead, and Carlos Vicente equalised two minutes later before Paik's winning goal. The match was interrupted by a lengthy stoppage involving an apparent serious injury to Derby's Henrik Meister. West Brom remain outside the automatic promotion places following the draw.
