PETE DAVIDSON'S FATHER REMEMBERED AS FDNY FIREFIGHTER WHO DIED ON 9/11

Scott Davidson, father of comedian Pete Davidson, was among six firefighters from FDNY's Ladder 118 who died on 11 September 2001 whilst conducting evacuations at the Twin Towers. Davidson was 33 years old. According to a retired member of the same fire station, Davidson was regarded as an exemplary firefighter despite his relatively short tenure at the service.

John Sorrentino, a retired fireman who served with Davidson at Ladder 118, described him as fearless and ideally suited to the profession. Sorrentino stated that Davidson had performed his duties with the confidence of someone with two decades of experience, despite having considerably less time on the job. The six-man crew had responded to the terrorist attack from their station in Brooklyn.

The 25th anniversary of the attacks has been marked with public commemoration. According to one account, Pete Davidson has described the anniversary milestone as particularly difficult given his current circumstances as a parent.
