LEWIS HALL SIGNS NEW NEWCASTLE DEAL UNTIL 2031
Lewis Hall has signed a new contract with Newcastle United, extending his stay at the club until 2031. The left-back, aged 22, added two years to his existing deal after a summer in which Manchester United were reported to have shown interest in acquiring him. Hall told Newcastle's official website that he was "absolutely delighted" with the extension and described it as "a really proud moment".
Hall cited the club's supporters and his family connection to Newcastle as key factors in his decision to commit his future to the Magpies. He stated that the fanbase provided "the best support in the league" and that playing for the club made his family proud. According to one report, Hall's decision to extend was influenced by his impression of new manager Matthias Jaissle, following a period of uncertainty at the club after Eddie Howe's departure earlier in the season.
The new contract contains no release clause, meaning Newcastle will be in a stronger negotiating position should any club attempt to sign Hall in future transfer windows. A source close to the club indicated that this clause structure was a deliberate choice to protect Newcastle's interests in any potential sale.
