SPICE GIRLS ANNOUNCE 30TH ANNIVERSARY BOX SET, NOT REUNION TOUR
The Spice Girls have announced a limited-edition 14-disc box set titled The Singles Collection, scheduled for release on 6 November to mark the 30th anniversary of their debut album Spice. The collection will be available on CD and 7-inch coloured vinyl, and will feature the group's chart-topping singles, B-sides, collectible art cards, individual member messages, and previously unreleased archive demos including a track titled Do You Think About Me. The announcement followed a cryptic teaser video on Instagram that depicted a 1994 advertisement from The Stage positioned on the stairs featured in the group's Wannabe music video.
The five-member group comprises Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm, and Geri Halliwell-Horner. One report indicated the box set costs £277. The group's last live performance together took place during their 2019 Spice World tour. The announcement of the merchandise release followed speculation among fans that the nostalgic promotional campaign would lead to a live reunion tour announcement.
Fan reaction to the merchandise announcement expressed disappointment at the absence of tour plans. The release represents a commercial commemoration of three decades since the group's formation, though it does not include confirmed plans for further live performances by all members together.
