TEPPER BACKS YOUNG TO WIN MULTIPLE SUPER BOWLS
David Tepper, owner of the Carolina Panthers, stated that quarterback Bryce Young retains the capability to win multiple Super Bowls if provided with the right circumstances. Tepper made the comments during a press conference on Wednesday, saying Young possesses considerable talent and performs well against high-level opposition. The Panthers selected Young with the first overall pick in the 2023 draft, and Tepper noted at that time the club believed Young offered the best path to multiple championship wins.
Young completed his best season to date in 2025, recording a 63.6 per cent completion rate, 3,011 passing yards, 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The Panthers won their division before losing to the Los Angeles Rams in the postseason, with Young throwing for 264 yards, one touchdown and one interception across 40 attempts in that playoff game. Young remains contracted to the Panthers through 2027 after the club exercised his fifth-year option in spring. Tepper declined to confirm whether the Panthers had offered Young a contract extension, referring the question to General Manager Dan Morgan.
Tepper characterised Young as a player who performs optimally under pressure, citing performances against the Rams as evidence. The owner expressed confidence that Young's ability to perform at a high level against strong competition demonstrates his potential, though acknowledged questions about maintaining that standard consistently across every game.
