STEVIE WONDER ANNOUNCES UK TOUR FOR 1976 ALBUM ANNIVERSARY

Stevie Wonder has announced four UK dates for his 'Songs In The Key Of Life' 50th anniversary tour. The performances will take place at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on 13 October, London's O2 on 3 November, Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena on 8 November, and Glasgow's OVO Hydro on 11 November. Wonder will perform the 1976 album in its entirety across the dates. A presale begins on 9 September at 10am BST, with general sale opening on 11 September at the same time.

'Songs In The Key Of Life' reached Number 2 on the Official Albums Chart and has been inducted into the Library of Congress' National Recording Registry. The album features compositions including 'As', 'Love's in Need of Love Today', 'Sir Duke' and 'Isn't She Lovely'. According to the announcement, the record is described as one of the most influential albums ever created and achieved diamond sales status.

Wonder stated last year that he intends to continue performing for as long as he is able, saying "for as long as you breathe, for as long as your heart beats, there's more for you to do". He is also working on a new album titled 'Through The Eyes Of Wonder', which would be his first in 20 years. The project has been referred to by the musician since 2008 but remains unreleased.
