WORLD'S LONGEST CRUISE SETS SAIL FOR 371 DAYS

MON 07 SEP 2026 INTERNATIONAL

A cruise vessel operated by Norwegian Cruise Line has departed Rome on a 371-day voyage, billed as the world's longest cruise. The Oceania Regatta, which holds 700 passengers across 348 cabins, left port on 1 September and will visit 220 ports across 62 countries. Flight Centre Travel Group, a tour operator, organised the sailing in collaboration with Norwegian Cruise Line.

The itinerary extends nearly 100 days beyond the previous longest world cruise, a Royal Caribbean sailing that lasted 274 nights. Passengers will visit destinations including the Arctic, Greek islands, Alaska, the Amazon, the Great Wall of China and the Panama Canal. The full voyage costs from £56,000 per person and includes a premium drinks package, wifi, pre-paid gratuities and speciality dining. Shorter regional itineraries are also available; Cruise Club UK offers a 201-night Pacific-to-Atlantic sailing from February 2027 at £34,990 per person, whilst Iglu Cruise provides a 12-night Norwegian fjords sailing from October 2026 from £1,629 per person.

David Gooch, chief executive of Iglu Cruise, stated that the voyage combines luxury amenities with a boutique ship design capable of accessing smaller ports unavailable to larger vessels. Bookings are available through Flight Centre Travel Group brands including Iglu Cruise and Cruise Club UK. The sailing represents an expansion of long-duration cruise offerings in the luxury travel market.
