CAT DEELEY ON CO-PARENTING AFTER SPLIT FROM PATRICK KIELTY
Cat Deeley has described her approach to co-parenting with Patrick Kielty following their separation, which the couple announced in July 2025. The television presenters, who married in September 2012, stated at the time that they had ended their marriage and separated, with no other party involved. Deeley told The Sunday Times that she and Kielty share childcare on a 50-50 basis, and that she receives support from a nanny. She said: "It's about being as organised as you can possibly be" and "Everybody's doing their best."
Deeley and Kielty have two sons together: one born in January 2016 and another in June 2018. The couple lived in Los Angeles for more than a decade before relocating to north London. Deeley, 49, has hosted ITV's This Morning alongside Ben Shephard since early 2024. She previously married businessman Mark Whelan and divorced in 2006. Kielty, 55, is a Northern Irish comedian and presenter who was previously in a relationship with Irish model Amanda Bryam, which ended in 2003.
Deeley and Kielty had known each other for years before becoming a romantic couple, having hosted Fame Academy together in 2002 and 2003. In their July 2025 announcement, the couple stated they would "continue to be united as loving parents to our children". Deeley described the administrative demands of co-parenting as sometimes leaving her mind racing at night, though she has assistance managing these arrangements.
