LUKE LITTLER WINS CZECH OPEN DARTS TITLE IN PRAGUE

SUN 06 SEP 2026 DARTS/SNOOKER

Luke Littler defeated Luke Humphries to claim the Czech Open title in Prague. The world number one beat Humphries, the defending champion and world number two, in the final. Littler trailed 4-3 before a four-leg burst moved him 7-4 ahead. Humphries reduced the deficit to 7-6 but missed two darts at double 16 in the 14th leg, allowing Littler to close out the match by taking out 39.

Littler reached the final after victories over Krzysztof Ratajski, Danny Noppert and Michael van Gerwen. The 19-year-old's win came in his first European Tour event since the Belgium Open in March. Humphries had defeated Andrew Gilding, William O'Connor and Gerwyn Price en route to the final, aiming for a fourth Czech Open title and third consecutive win. Littler's victory secures his place at the European Championship in Dortmund in October.

Littler stated he is attempting to complete the calendar sweep of ranking events in 2026, describing Dortmund as "the one I'm chasing". He said of the final: "This is what the fans are in for — me and Luke are back. The two best going at it in a final once again." Humphries acknowledged the quality of the contest, saying he had considered withdrawing before the tournament but was satisfied with reaching the final after "really well" performances across the rounds.
