RICHARD OSMAN REVEALS THE CELEBRITY TRAITORS SERIES TWO START DATE
Broadcaster Richard Osman disclosed the launch date for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors during a live recording of The Rest Is Entertainment podcast at London's Southbank Centre on Saturday. Osman stated that the BBC reality competition is scheduled to return on 23 September. Former Celebrity Traitors participant Joe Marler raised the subject whilst offering advice for future participants, asking Osman directly about the date. Osman acknowledged the slip, describing the information as "absolutely embargoed" before adding that "the cat's out of the bag isn't it?"
Marler observed that the atmosphere on the upcoming series appeared noticeably different from the first. He noted that the first series was "very laugh-led" with participants "pratting about" to the point that production staff had to intervene to keep focus on the game. By contrast, Marler suggested the second series participants "really want it from the start" and face additional pressure following the success of the debut series. Osman reflected on feedback from those involved in production, stating that the upcoming series "sounds like it was quite intense."
The accidental disclosure occurred during a discussion in which Marler also revealed that Osman played a key role in securing his spot on the debut series of The Celebrity Traitors. The BBC has not yet officially confirmed the 23 September date through official channels.
