FRI 28 AUG 2026 TENNIS

Jannik Sinner has ranked first on Forbes' highest-paid tennis players list for the first time, with estimated earnings of $58 million over the past 12 months. The Italian's total comprises $23 million from on-court prize money and bonuses—the highest on-court figure recorded on the list—and $35 million from endorsements including a new partnership with Allianz. Sinner displaced Carlos Alcaraz from the top position; Alcaraz finished second with estimated earnings of $53.7 million.

Alcaraz remains tennis's highest off-court earner at $38 million despite missing Roland Garros and Wimbledon through injury. Serena Williams ranked third with $40.1 million, with the majority derived from endorsements after playing six matches this season and earning $131,932 in prize money. Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff completed the top five at $36.1 million and $35.5 million respectively, followed by Novak Djokovic, Qinwen Zheng, Iga Swiatek, Alexander Zverev and Elena Rybakina.

The top ten combined earned an estimated $333 million, an increase of 17 per cent from the previous year, according to Forbes' figures. For the first time in the list's 19-year history, women numbered six in the top ten whilst men numbered four. The earnings threshold to enter the top ten rose to a record $17.4 million.
