WAN'DALE ROBINSON EVALUATED FOR CONCUSSION AFTER BEARS PRACTICE HIT
Wan'Dale Robinson, wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans, was evaluated for a concussion after being struck by Chicago Bears safety Xavier Woods during a joint practice on Thursday. Titans head coach Robert Saleh said Robinson exited the session early following the hit. Saleh described the hit as "cheap" and it prompted a response from Robinson's teammates on the field. Robinson will enter the concussion protocol if medical evaluation confirms a concussion diagnosis.
Robinson joined the Titans as a free agent in March. Woods played for the Titans in the previous season before being released shortly after Saleh was hired. The incident drew attention from both teams during the practice session, with Saleh addressing it during his subsequent press conference.
Should Robinson be diagnosed with a concussion, the protocol would sideline him for several days. Saleh indicated sufficient time remains before Week 1 of the season for Robinson to be cleared to play if he is able to recover without lasting effects from the evaluation.
