COLE PALMER SAYS CHELSEA MUST WIN TROPHIES AFTER CARABAO CUP WIN

Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer stated that the club must pursue trophy success this season following a Carabao Cup second round victory. Palmer described the previous season as insufficient, indicating higher expectations for the current campaign. He highlighted the club's ambition to win every available trophy under manager Enzo Alonso.

Palmer confirmed that he played through injury during the previous season in an attempt to secure selection for the World Cup. He made remarks directed at former Chelsea managers without naming them directly. The comments suggest frustration with how the club was run in preceding years.

Chelsea's Carabao Cup progression represents an early step in their pursuit of silverware this season. Palmer's statements reflect the squad's determination to deliver trophies following last season's disappointment. The midfielder's commitment to playing through pain underscores the intensity of competition for places at the club.
