FORMER PENN STATE ATHLETE SERIOUSLY INJURED IN COLORADO HIT-AND-RUN

A hit-and-run incident in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, on the morning of 1 June 2026 killed Corinne More and seriously injured her fiancé, former Penn State American football player Kyle Vasey. The pair were walking in a neighbourhood when a lorry struck them. The driver, who held a revoked licence, fled the scene. Vasey sustained catastrophic injuries in the collision.

Vasey's injuries included multiple fractures that required at least six surgeries. He remained hospitalised following the incident. More, his fiancée, was pronounced dead as a result of the collision. The incident took place in Highlands Ranch, a suburban area south of Denver.

Vasey had previously played college American football at Penn State before the incident. The number of surgeries required indicates the severity of the physical trauma he sustained. Investigators were pursuing the case as a hit-and-run, with the driver's revoked licence a confirmed element of the circumstances. No further confirmed details regarding charges or arrests were available in the source material.
