ASUS RELEASES ROG GJALLAR GAMING SOUNDBAR IN US
ASUS has released the ROG Gjallar soundbar in the United States at a price of $600. The device, which the company introduced in early July, marks ASUS' first gaming soundbar and was designed specifically for multiplayer gaming. The soundbar features an integrated audio control hub with built-in microphones designed to filter teammate voices and in-game audio whilst suppressing background noise, according to ASUS.
The ROG Gjallar employs a 5.1.2-channel speaker configuration and supports Dolby Atmos audio for three-dimensional sound effects. A wireless 6.5-inch 65W subwoofer connects to the soundbar via a dedicated 5GHz connection to minimise latency. The audio control hub includes an LCD display for volume, playback, input selection and equaliser profile adjustments. The soundbar offers multiple connectivity options: USB-C, HDMI 2.1 with eART, optical, 3.5mm auxiliary jack and Bluetooth 5.3. Two USB Type-A ports accommodate wireless dongles and accessories.
The ROG Gjallar is compatible with gaming PCs, Macs, mobile devices, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and televisions. The soundbar is listed on Best Buy and ASUS' US website, though it is either sold out or not yet in stock for purchase. Customers can register for notifications when the device becomes available through ASUS' website.
