ERLING HAALAND CUTS HAIR BEFORE MANCHESTER CITY MATCH
Erling Haaland unveiled a buzz cut on social media hours before Manchester City's Premier League opener against Bournemouth. The Norwegian footballer, who had worn longer blond hair during the 2026 World Cup, described the change as a "new season, new trim" moment. The transformation prompted reactions from several football figures, including Zlatan Ibrahimović, Pep Guardiola, Jack Grealish and Vinicius Jr.
Ibrahimović, whom Haaland has credited as a sporting idol, responded to a FaceTime call from Haaland by asking if he had lost a bet and jokingly threatening to block him. Guardiola, who previously managed Haaland at Manchester City, responded with envy, saying Haaland was "lucky to have hair" and that he would "love to have it" himself, before adding that the player could grow it back if he disliked the new style. Grealish, Haaland's teammate at Manchester City, joked that Haaland looked ten years old following the haircut.
Vinicius Jr, who plays for Real Madrid, also sent a message to Haaland on social media following the reveal. The haircut came immediately before Manchester City's scheduled Premier League fixture against Bournemouth.
