SEAHAWKS PUT RECEIVER BOBO ON INJURED RESERVE AFTER KNEE INJURY
The Seattle Seahawks have placed wide receiver Jake Bobo on injured reserve following a knee injury sustained during a joint practice with the Tennessee Titans on Friday. Head coach Mike Macdonald described the injury as "serious" and indicated it would be "long-term". Bobo was carted off the field after landing awkwardly whilst attempting to catch a pass during the drill.
Bobo, who went undrafted in 2023, has been with the Seahawks since joining as an undrafted free agent. In March, he signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract with the team after initially receiving an offer sheet from the Jacksonville Jaguars as a restricted free agent. The Seahawks matched that offer. Across three seasons, Bobo recorded 34 receptions for 323 yards and 3 touchdowns, including a 17-yard touchdown pass in the NFC Championship victory over the Rams last season.
To replace Bobo on the roster, the Seahawks re-signed receiver Julian Hicks, who had previously been waived to create space for cornerback Trevon Diggs. Bobo was listed on the preseason depth chart as a second-string receiver prior to the injury.
