ANNA FARIS DISCUSSES RELIGIOUS CONVERSATIONS WITH SON JACK

Anna Faris has described conversations with her 14-year-old son Jack about religion, saying he has asked her to accept Jesus Christ as her saviour. Faris, 49, stated on Chelsea Handler's Dear Chelsea podcast that she told Jack she would do anything for him, including engaging in "long conversations" about his Christian faith. She characterised Jack as emotionally resilient and said she is able to challenge his perspectives on religious matters. Faris noted that she did not grow up with religion herself.

Jack's father is Chris Pratt, 47, whom Faris married in 2009 and divorced in 2017. Pratt has spoken publicly about his Christian faith. Jack was born nine weeks premature and suffered a severe cerebral hemorrhage; Pratt wrote in December 2025 that this experience prompted him to promise to devote his life to sharing God's message if Jack survived. Pratt is now married to Katherine Schwarzenegger, 36, whom he met in church. In 2023, Pratt said he had experienced criticism over his religious beliefs.

Faris said she examines Jack's thinking by questioning him on topics including pro-life positions and what she described as "grifter" mega-pastors. She stated she is "appreciative" that Jack examines religion by recognising hypocrisy, and described their ability to have extended conversations about faith as valuable. The Independent said it had contacted Pratt's representatives for comment.
