LAURA LOOMER CLAIMS WHITE HOUSE STAFF LEAKING STORIES ABOUT NATALIE HARP
Laura Loomer, a conservative activist and Trump ally, has alleged that White House staff members are leaking negative stories about Natalie Harp, President Donald Trump's executive assistant. Loomer made the claim in a social media post on Wednesday, stating that colleagues are motivated by professional jealousy and concern about Harp's loyalty to the president. Loomer questioned how media outlets would obtain detailed information about Harp's work performance and conversations with Trump unless her colleagues were speaking to journalists about her. She wrote that there are "way too many leakers" in the White House and emphasised the importance of vetting.
Harp, aged 35, manages Trump's Truth Social account and performs various administrative duties for the president. She has attracted significant media attention in recent months due to her constant proximity to Trump and what some observers describe as particularly fervent devotion to him. According to New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, Harp has left Trump handwritten notes including one that read "You are all that matters to me." Haberman has also characterised Harp as Trump's "comfort blanket," whilst her estranged brother has described their relationship as "very unhealthy." CNN reported that in October 2023, Harp travelled in the trunk of an SUV during Trump's motorcade to a courthouse in New York City when passenger space was unavailable.
Haberman has also stated that Harp functions as a significant "conduit for information" to the president, suggesting she wields considerable influence within the administration. The White House has not publicly responded to Loomer's allegations.
