SAINTS WR OLAVE RETURNS TO PRACTICE AFTER LEAVING WITH INJURY
Chris Olave, wide receiver for the New Orleans Saints, left a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday before returning to team drills later the same day. Olave departed the practice session to receive medical attention in the team's medical tent and initially left the field with athletic trainers. His return to participation came after what was reported as a precautionary evaluation.
The Saints' practice with the Cowboys was marked by at least six separate physical altercations between the two teams during the session. The joint practice also saw injury to Jordyn Tyson, a first-round draft pick for New Orleans, who sustained a hamstring injury during a separate joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars the previous Thursday and is expected to miss approximately two months. In response to Olave's availability concerns, the Saints worked out veteran wide receivers Chase Claypool and Josh Reynolds on Tuesday.
Olave played all 16 games in the previous season, recording 100 catches for 1,163 yards and nine touchdowns, marking a career year for the receiver. Over his four seasons with the Saints, Olave has missed 13 games to injuries. His continued participation in practice sessions will be monitored as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
