BREECE HALL SIDELINED 2-3 WEEKS WITH GROIN INJURY

TUE 18 AUG 2026 US SPORTS

Breece Hall, running back for the New York Jets, sustained a groin injury during Monday's practice and will be unavailable for two to three weeks, according to Jets head coach Aaron Glenn. Glenn stated on Tuesday that Hall is expected to return in time for the regular season's opening week. Hall is a key offensive player for New York's planned gameplan.

Hall rushed for 1,065 yards across 16 games last season, alongside four rushing touchdowns and 36 receptions for 350 yards and one receiving touchdown. The Jets will play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Friday night in their second preseason match. Glenn also confirmed that fellow players Kenyon Sadiq and D'Angelo Ponds are progressing towards recovery from their respective injuries, with the team targeting their availability for Week 1 of the regular season.

The two-to-three-week timeline places Hall's potential return within the preseason window, allowing the Jets to assess his fitness before competitive play begins. The team's offensive preparation will proceed with Hall unavailable during the interim period. New York's depth at running back will be tested during Hall's absence ahead of the regular season opener.
