FANTASY FOOTBALL DRAFT SEASON BEGINS WITH PLAYER MOVEMENT

TUE 18 AUG 2026 FOOTBALL

Fantasy football draft season has commenced, with the majority of drafts scheduled over the next two to three weeks. Player signings, injuries and possible suspensions have affected draft valuations in recent days. Several players have risen and fallen on draft boards ahead of the drafting period.

Stefon Diggs, a wide receiver, has joined the Washington Commanders and is rising on draft boards. According to one analysis, Diggs finished last season as WR17 with over 1,000 yards and 85 receptions. The analyst suggested Diggs could achieve a 70-catch, 800-yard season in Washington's offence and finish in the WR25-WR30 range, with an average draft position of 116.3. Puka Nacua, a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, has fallen on draft boards after being a clear fourth overall pick in most fantasy drafts. Nacua suffered a core muscle injury during a joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys and faces unspecified legal issues. One analysis noted his average draft position had fallen to 4.6.

Fantasy football analysts have published updated draft guidance to reflect recent roster changes and player circumstances. Drafting participants are advised to review current player information before selecting their teams. The next two to three weeks represent the peak period for fantasy football drafting activity.
