INDIANA FEVER DEFEAT ATLANTA DREAM IN OVERTIME
The Indiana Fever defeated the Atlanta Dream 95-91 in overtime on Sunday. Caitlin Clark scored 26 points and recorded nine assists, whilst Makayla Timpson added a career-high 20 points and seven rebounds. Angel Reese missed a potential game-winning buzzer-beater that would have ended the match in regulation, sending play into the extra period. Clark made two clutch free throws late in the contest to extend the Fever's lead to a two-possession advantage.
Timpson was particularly effective in overtime, scoring six points in the first three minutes of the extra period. She also recorded six offensive rebounds during the game, alongside one block against Reese. Fever head coach Stephanie White praised Clark's playmaking in her postgame remarks, stating that Clark was "allowing the game to flow" and "doing a great job of finding her teammates." White added that Clark's ability to involve other players created open shooting opportunities for her team.
The victory marked another strong performance from Clark, whose scoring and assists contributed significantly to the Fever's win. Timpson's performance, particularly on the glass and in overtime, provided crucial support during the decisive moments of the match.
