AL HILAL PURSUE CHELSEA WINGER NETO AS BLUES SET £100M VALUATION

Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal are showing interest in signing Chelsea winger Pedro Neto, according to reports. As of 17 August, Chelsea had not received a formal bid for the 26-year-old Portugal international from Al Hilal or any other club. The west London club have placed a £100m valuation on Neto, who is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2031. One report states that Al Hilal have agreed personal terms with the player, though this remains unconfirmed by Chelsea or the club themselves.

Al Hilal have already strengthened their attack this window, signing Crysencio Summerville from West Ham for approximately £68m. Chelsea have undergone significant squad changes under new manager Xabi Alonso, bringing in ten players including Morgan Rogers, Danny Welbeck, Geovany Quenda and others. The club are expected to see departures before the transfer window closes on 1 September. Neto has made 103 appearances for Chelsea since joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2024, scoring 19 goals, and featured in 34 Premier League matches in the 2025-26 season.

Manchester City are also reported to be showing interest in Neto, with former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca known to be an admirer of the winger. Neto is understood to be part of Alonso's plans for the coming season should he remain at the club, having featured in pre-season since returning from international duty. The transfer window in England closes on 1 September.
