TY GIBBS TO RUN M&M'S COLOURS IN KYLE BUSCH TRIBUTE

THU 13 AUG 2026 F1/MOTORSPORT

Ty Gibbs will drive the M&M's livery at the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on 19th September, honouring the late Kyle Busch. Samantha Busch announced the tribute on social media on 13th August, stating that her husband, who died on 21st May, had always loved racing at Bristol. The yellow paint scheme defined Kyle Busch's career for 15 years before he moved to Richard Childress Racing in 2023. Samantha wrote that the appearance would allow the NASCAR family and fans to honour his memory and continue his legacy.

Kyle Busch spent the majority of his Cup Series career at Joe Gibbs Racing, where he won two championships. He recorded 56 victories whilst driving the M&M's colours and won at least one race annually between 2008 and 2022. Bristol proved particularly significant in his record: he won nine Cup Series races there, including a three-race sweep in 2017 when he won the Truck, Xfinity and Cup Series races in a single weekend. He also claimed victories at Bristol in the Night Race in 2018 and the Dirt Race in 2022, both whilst driving special M&M's liveries.

Ty Gibbs, currently second in the championship standings, will pilot the tribute car at the venue where Busch achieved some of his most notable results. Samantha acknowledged that seeing the M&M's colours return to track would be bittersweet, bringing back memories of her husband and the circuit he favoured. The appearance marks the final scheduled outing for the iconic yellow livery that became synonymous with Busch's driving career.
