CHESSINGTON WORLD OF ADVENTURES CLOSES DUE TO WATER OUTAGE

Chessington World of Adventures closed on Monday 10 August owing to a water outage affecting the local area. The theme park and zoo, located in south-west London, said visitors with tickets for that date would receive refunds or be able to rebook their visit. The resort did not disclose the cause of the outage or provide a timeline for reopening.

The closure occurred during the school summer holidays, typically the busiest trading period for UK theme parks. Chessington apologised for the disruption and acknowledged visitor inconvenience. The facility experienced a similar shutdown in July 2018 after a burst water main left surrounding homes and businesses without supply or on reduced pressure.

The park's management thanked visitors for their understanding as operations remained suspended. No details were made public regarding the scale of the outage or how many customers were affected by the day-long closure.
