KIRK COUSINS AND MAXX CROSBY CLASH AT RAIDERS TRAINING CAMP
Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby became involved in an altercation during Las Vegas Raiders training camp on Friday. According to reports, Crosby struck Cousins' arm twice during team practice. Cousins did not respond to the first contact, but after the second hit, he charged at Crosby and shoved him in the chest whilst exchanging words. Crosby then moved into Cousins' face, and the two continued exchanging remarks until teammates separated them. No punches were thrown during the incident.
Will Compton, who played alongside Cousins for four years with the Washington Redskins and with Crosby during the 2019 and 2021 seasons, posted on social media that "Kirk Cousins would beat the tattoos off of Maxx Crosby." Michael Mayer, the Raiders' tight end, defended Cousins' response, stating that the quarterback's willingness to stand his ground demonstrated the edge he has brought to the team since arriving. Cousins has previously been involved in heated exchanges during games, including a sideline disagreement with tight end Adam Thielen during a 2018 season-ending loss to the Chicago Bears.
The incident occurred during a routine training camp practice session. Raiders staff broke up the confrontation before it escalated further. No disciplinary action has been reported as a result of the altercation.
