COLTS CORNERBACK CAM TAYLOR-BRITT SUSPENDED ONE GAME

FRI 07 AUG 2026 FOOTBALL

The National Football League announced on Friday that Colts cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt has been suspended for one game for violating the league's Personal Conduct Policy. Taylor-Britt will be unavailable for the Colts' season opener against the Ravens but may participate in preseason games and summer practice. The suspension follows his guilty plea to reckless driving and driving without a valid licence in January, charges arising from two traffic stops in 2025 whilst he was playing for the Bengals.

Taylor-Britt was sentenced to five days in jail as a result of the charges. He joined the Colts as a free agent during the offseason. The suspension marks the first disciplinary action taken against him by the NFL under its Personal Conduct Policy.

The one-game suspension means Taylor-Britt will miss the Colts' opening fixture of the regular season but will be available for selection in week two onwards. The timing of the suspension, announced before the start of the preseason, gives the Colts time to prepare defensive cover for his absence in the opening week.
