CDP LAUNCHES AI TOOL TO CONNECT CLIMATE HAZARD AND RESILIENCE DATA

TUE 09 JUN 2026

CDP has launched a new artificial intelligence-powered platform called the Adaptation & Action Explorer. The tool is designed to connect climate hazard data with government disclosures. CDP says the platform is built to support resilience planning by making that data accessible in a structured format. The launch marks an expansion of CDP's existing environmental disclosure infrastructure into climate adaptation.

The platform targets what CDP describes as "smarter, investment-ready resilience planning." It draws on government disclosure data already submitted through CDP's reporting systems. By linking hazard data directly to disclosed government actions, the tool aims to reduce the gap between climate risk information and actionable planning. CDP operates one of the world's largest environmental disclosure systems, collecting data from cities, states, regions and companies.

The Adaptation & Action Explorer enters a growing market for climate risk analytics tools used by governments and investors. Connecting adaptation data to investment planning has become an increasing focus for multilateral institutions and national governments. The platform is now live and available through CDP's network. No timeline for further development phases was confirmed in the announcement.
