HOLLY HAGAN NAMES DAUGHTER AFTER LATE SISTER DARCI
Holly Hagan and her husband Jacob Blyth have named their newborn daughter Madison-Darci in tribute to Hagan's sister Darci Rose Gibson, who died last year. The couple shared a photograph of their daughter wearing a white babygro with her name embroidered across it in pink letters and a matching bow on her head. Hagan, known for appearing in Geordie Shore, announced the birth of her second child last week following a planned caesarean section. The couple also have a son, Alpha-Jax, who was born in June 2023.
Darci Rose Gibson died from multiple organ failure following an MDMA overdose during a night out at Manchester's Warehouse Project. She is understood to have mixed crystal MDMA into her drink, which led to an accidental overdose. She was taken to hospital suffering a cardiac arrest, and Gibson died at Manchester Royal Infirmary. Hagan confirmed the death late last year, stating she felt "immeasurable grief and sadness" and said she would be "forever grateful" to the emergency services who attempted to save her sister's life.
Hagan captioned the photograph of Madison-Darci with the baby's name alongside a butterfly emoji, sparkles, and a white heart. Fellow television personalities Sophie Kasaei, Charlotte Crosby, Charlotte Dawson, and Nathan Henry responded publicly to the announcement. Crosby wrote that Darci was "proud as punch watching over you all." Dawson described the name as "so special" and said the late Darci Gibson would be watching "with so much love and pride."
