WOMAN CHARGED AFTER FOUR MEN STABBED IN COVENT GARDEN
Stella Gollovena, 47, has been charged after four men were stabbed on Endell Street in Covent Garden on Wednesday. Police were called to the scene at approximately 12:30 BST. The four male victims, aged 34, 39, 42 and 56, sustained stab wounds but none were life-threatening or life-changing. All four have since been discharged from hospital. Gollovena was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
Gollovena, of no fixed address, faces four counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. The stabbing took place in Covent Garden, a central London area containing bars, theatres and restaurants. London's Air Ambulance landed at nearby Trafalgar Square following the incident, though the four men were transported to hospital by paramedics via road rather than by air.
Gollovena has been remanded in custody and will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court. A court date has not yet been confirmed.
