BILLS OFFENSIVE LINEMAN PUNCHES ROOKIE IN TRAINING CAMP BRAWL

WED 05 AUG 2026 US SPORTS

A brawl erupted at Buffalo Bills training camp on 4 August 2026 when defensive rookie Kaleb Elarms-Orr delivered a late hit on tight end Dalton Kincaid after the play had ended. Kincaid caught a pass, went down, and got back up, but Elarms-Orr struck him again, thinking he remained on the ground. Offensive lineman Alec Anderson stepped in to defend Kincaid and struck Elarms-Orr multiple times during the altercation. Anderson later told media he had "zero regrets" about his involvement in the scuffle.

Anderson stated that he did not object to physical play but took issue with the hit delivered after the whistle. He described the confrontation as part of building team resilience and said physical contact in practice was beneficial. Right tackle Spencer Brown also commented on the incident, saying he wanted to protect Kincaid, who he described as important to the offence. Elarms-Orr, a fourth-round draft pick from TCU, is competing for a roster spot with the Bills.

The incident highlights tensions that can arise during training camp practices when defensive players attempt to make impressions on coaching staff. Elarms-Orr's aggressive playing style has attracted notice from defensive coaches, but the late hit demonstrated he is still learning to distinguish between permissible contact and unnecessary risk during drills.
