EAGLES SIGN BRANDON HAYES TO ROSTER SPOT
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed wide receiver Brandon Hayes to their 90-man roster, the team announced on Wednesday. Hayes, an undrafted free agent, had participated in the Eagles' rookie minicamp before being waived on 5 June. The signing followed the team's release of defensive lineman Ta'Quon Graham over the weekend, which created the available roster spot.
Hayes played college football at Southeastern Louisiana, where he ranked third in the Football Championship Subdivision for kickoff return yardage last season, averaging 30.7 yards per return. He returned two kickoffs for touchdowns during that campaign and caught 19 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns. The move represents Hayes's second opportunity to secure a longer-term place within the Eagles organisation.
The Eagles continue their roster adjustments during the off-season period as they prepare for the upcoming campaign. Hayes will compete alongside other squad members to earn a permanent position on the team's active roster ahead of the regular season.
