CMF ANNOUNCES CLIP PRO OPEN-EAR EARBUDS PRICED UNDER $100
CMF, the budget-friendly sub-brand of Nothing, has unveiled the Clip Pro, its first pair of open-ear earbuds. The earbuds are priced at $99 at launch, with a preorder discount available before 15 August that reduces the price to $79 across all three colour variants. The Clip Pro employs a "3-point clip design" that distributes pressure across the ear and is designed to fit any ear shape, weighing 5.9 grams per bud.
The earbuds feature 10.8mm dual-magnet dynamic drivers and are equipped with four HD microphones for call quality. CMF has incorporated Ultra Bass Technology to enhance low frequencies whilst reducing treble distortion, compensating for the bass typically lost in open-ear designs. The Clip Pro carries Hi-Res Certification and supports LDAC, AAC and SBC codecs. A rotating Smart Dial feature on the charging case allows users to control volume, playback and calls without touching their phone. The earbuds carry an IP54 weather-resistance rating and offer 32-hour battery life, according to one review assessment.
The Clip Pro enters a competitive market segment for open-ear earbuds. One reviewer stated the earbuds have the "potential to be a category best this year," praising their comfortable design, sound quality and affordable pricing relative to comparable products. The earbuds lack active noise-cancellation but feature an anti-leakage mode that permits users to hear more of their music whilst reducing background noise awareness.
