BROCK LESNAR INDUCTED INTO UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA HALL OF FAME
Brock Lesnar has been confirmed for induction into the University of Minnesota's M Club Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class. The announcement came from Gophers Wrestling on social media shortly after Lesnar appeared at WWE's SummerSlam event. The induction ceremony is scheduled for 2 October at Huntington Bank Stadium, with inductees to be recognised during Minnesota's football match against Michigan on 3 October.
Lesnar wrestled for the University of Minnesota for two seasons from 1998 to 2000, compiling a record of 55 wins and 3 losses with 23 pins. He was a two-time All-American and two-time Big Ten champion before winning the NCAA heavyweight championship in 2000. According to the university, Lesnar finished tied for the best winning percentage in the programme's history. The M Club is described as one of the university's oldest and largest varsity letterwinner organisations.
The honour marks a return to collegiate wrestling recognition for Lesnar, whose professional career subsequently included WWE championship reigns, a UFC heavyweight title and a stint in the Minnesota Vikings' training camp. One report stated that Lesnar has confirmed his retirement from professional wrestling. The timing of the hall of fame announcement coincided with his appearance at SummerSlam, where he competed in the main event of the first night of the event.
