LIVERPOOL EXPLORE MOVES FOR PSG WINGERS MBAYE AND BARCOLA
Liverpool are considering moves for two Paris Saint-Germain wingers, according to reports. The club is showing interest in Ibrahim Mbaye, an 18-year-old Senegal international, and is also exploring a potential move for Bradley Barcola. Liverpool have yet to place a formal offer for Mbaye, though he is understood to be keen on a move to Anfield. The club has held preliminary talks with PSG regarding Barcola.
Mbaye is expected to leave PSG this summer in search of increased playing time. PSG are reported to be seeking at least €50m for the winger, with one account suggesting the fee could rise further given current market conditions. Mbaye made 23 appearances for PSG last season, scoring three goals. Bayer Leverkusen are already in direct club-to-club negotiations with PSG for Mbaye, with progress reported in those talks. Mbaye is understood to be willing to consider all available options should Liverpool make a formal approach.
Regarding Barcola, Liverpool are reportedly prepared to bid around €100m, though such a move is unlikely to progress immediately given PSG's stated asking price of €170m. One report suggests PSG's valuation may reduce as August progresses and once the club completes its own recruitment priorities in wide areas. PSG have incoming transfers of their own, with Monaco's Maghnes Akliouche set to join for approximately €50m.
