RED SOX ACQUIRE CATCHER RUTSCHMAN FROM ORIOLES

The Boston Red Sox acquired catcher Adley Rutschman from the Baltimore Orioles in a trade completed on Monday. Rutschman was adjusting to the move less than 24 hours after the trade was finalised. The Red Sox had identified acquiring a new catcher as a priority ahead of the trade deadline.

Rutschman used time on the injured list to build relationships with Red Sox pitchers following the transfer.
