MYLEENE KLASS REVEALS BREAST CANCER SCARE AFTER FINDING LUMPS

Myleene Klass has disclosed that she discovered two lumps in her breast whilst watching Wimbledon tennis in June and subsequently underwent medical investigation. The television presenter shared the experience on Instagram, describing it as "sobering, humbling and terrifying" and urging other women to check themselves regularly. She reported that she received the all clear following tests that identified three cysts and three lymph nodes.

Klass said the period of waiting for results led her to reassess her life priorities and contemplate various worst-case scenarios. She acknowledged that undergoing an ultrasound scan was particularly difficult given her previous experience of four miscarriages. The presenter stated that the experience had prompted her to advocate for women to seek second medical opinions and not avoid discussing uncomfortable health matters.

Klass thanked those who expedited her medical assessment and encouraged people without immediate access to healthcare to use her experience as a prompt for self-examination. Her disclosure followed a separate announcement from fellow broadcaster Lauren Laverne, described as her best friend, who had revealed a diagnosis of a blood and bone marrow disorder with potential to develop into cancer.
