CRAIG REVEL HORWOOD STABBED DURING MADRID HOLIDAY
Craig Revel Horwood, a judge on Strictly Come Dancing, has recounted being stabbed and slashed with a razor blade during a holiday in Madrid. The incident occurred at approximately 2am as Revel Horwood was returning from a club. Jewellery was stolen during the attack, including a necklace that was ripped from his neck and caused a burn mark. He was subsequently strip-searched by French authorities as he attempted to leave the country, with officials stating they were searching for drugs.
Revel Horwood made the disclosure whilst speaking on the Judgemental podcast, which he hosts with fellow Strictly judge Anton Du Beke. He characterised the stabbing as occurring during a holiday that followed a period spent dancing at the Lido in Paris. Revel Horwood noted that going out for dinner at 10 or 11pm and returning in the early morning was normal behaviour during his time in Madrid. The strip search left visible marks on his neck from the earlier attack.
Revel Horwood also detailed a separate incident during a trip to Mombasa in Kenya, in which he discovered upon arriving at the airport that his hotel accommodation had caught fire. He had been planning to go on safari during that visit.
