MEGAN MCKENNA RELOCATES TO GERMANY AFTER HOME BURGLARY

Megan McKenna has moved to Germany full-time following a burglary at her home two years ago, she revealed on a podcast. Three masked intruders armed with machetes and baseball bats broke into her house whilst she was alone, McKenna stated. The incident occurred shortly after she and her husband Oliver Burke returned from honeymoon in Montenegro, with Burke travelling back to Germany the day after they landed in the UK.

McKenna said she woke around 11pm to find the house "shaking" and discovered the intruders hacking through a wall in her bedroom with a baseball bat to access her dressing room. She described being too frightened to remain in England without her husband present. Burke, a footballer currently signed with Union Berlin, is based in Germany. McKenna, a former cast member of The Only Way Is Essex, explained she had not previously discussed the incident publicly because people involved were in prison and a trial was ongoing at the time.

McKenna stated the burglary left her with lasting anxiety about being alone in her home. She said she now gets "goose pimples" thinking about the event and was particularly concerned about the safety of her dog during the break-in. The police were called during the incident, according to McKenna's account on the Great Company With Jamie Laing podcast.
